Catholic Training Partnership NW

The Diocese of Salford is an integral member of the Catholic Training Partnership (CTPNW) for the North West of England. Along with the dioceses of Lancaster, Liverpool, Shrewsbury and Wrexham, strategic CPD opportunities are provided for teachers in schools and colleges.

The Catholic Training Partnership designs and delivers strategic CPD opportunities to support and develop leadership in our schools. Currently, the offer is:

1. The Catholic Leadership Programme for senior leaders aspiring to headship

2. Conferences for

     a. teachers aspiring to be deputy heads in a Catholic Primay School;

     b. deputy headteachers aspiring to be heads in a Catholic Primary School;

     c. senior leaders seeking promotion in a Catholic Secondary School

3. Currently, the 'Moving Forward' programme is operating and fully funded through National College, for colleagues aspiring to headship in the next 18 months.

4. The 5 dioceses have formed a working group aimed at offering a CATHOLIC MIDDLE LEADERS PROGRAME, which is open to all teachers across the north west in both Primary and Secondary education. This will begin in September 2015 and runs for three terms.

Further information about courses offered can be found on the CPDF calendar. For further information about the Catholic Training Partnership contact Brendan Duffy or Daniella Stephens at the Diocesan Education Department.
